JessicaJessica Ann Simpson Johnson (born on July 10, 1980)[1 is an American performer, actress businesswoman, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Simpson was signed to Columbia Records at the age of 17 after having been a part of the church choir as a young girl. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999), sold two million copies across the United States and saw the commercial huge success of the hit single "I I Want To Love You Forever". Simpson took on a more mature image for her second studio album, Irresistible (2001), and its title track became her second top 20 single on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This Skin (2003), Simpson's third studio album, sold 3 million copies across the United States. Simpson was well-known for her relationship with Nick Lachey and her marriage to Nick Lachey. Simpson also appeared on MTV's reality TV show Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica, between 2003 and 2005. Simpson made her film debut in The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). The singer also performed an original cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walking" for the soundtrack of the film. The year 2006 saw the release of her fifth studio album A Public Affair. She also appeared in the romantic comedy film The Employee of the Month. Simpson made her debut in country music when she released Do You Know (2008), her sixth studio album. Simpson also launched The Jessica Simpson Collection, the brand's fashion-focused line, which includes 34 categories of merchandise. It's the most successful known brand licensed by a celebrity with more than $1 billion in sales so far. In 2010, she starred in the reality TV series The Price of Beauty. She also judged fashion shows for Fashion Star's two seasons from 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married Eric Johnson and has three children.
