CharliTito Ortiz was born in Huntington Beach, California on 23 January 1975. His birth name was Jacob Christopher Ortiz. He lived in Huntington Beach until he moved to Santa Ana, California. Ortiz is half Mexican from his paternal lineage. His father was Sam Ortiz he gave him his name Tito. Both of his parents, addicts were a source of stress in his early years. He was in the gangs. He also abused drugs such as cocaine. He was in youth halls as a youngster. When he reached the age of 13, the parents split up. He attended Huntington Beach High School where wrestled.
